paternity paper ???????
If paternity papers where signed after birth of daughter by one man but i was married to another man are papers legal or is husband father does other man have any rights
in the courts?he has not been in picture since she was s weeks old and not sure he is the biological father,husband died three years ago and daughter thinks the man we have lived with for six years is her dad,he is the one whom has financially taken care of her as well as been a model father to my daughter.who is by law her father?

ANSWER:
Under Oregon law, if the Oregon Center for Health Statistics was aware that you were married at the time birth, your husband's name would be inserted on the child's birth certificate as being child's father. Under these circumstances, a Voluntary Acknowledgement of Paternity form (even if signed by the child's biological father) is legally meaningless.
If husband has now died, best advice is to now have the man who child believes to be her father to now proceed with an adoption. That way, he will become her legal father and remove all uncertainty.
