Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon
do i still have to pay child support after my child turns 18 if not specified in divorce but child will still be in school?
1 Answer from Attorneys
No, unless your Oregon divorce judgment specifically and expressly referred to ORS 107.108 (or otherwise stated that the support obligation continues for so long as the child is as child attending school), the obligation would cease when the child attains the age of majority (age 18).
Best advice is have a lawyer directly review the divorce judgment document so as to determinate exactly what it says (and what it doesnt say). Give me a call. We can make an appointment.
