Property rights of non-married, cohabiting partners

I have lived with a man for three years in a home that is in my name only. Does he have a right to any part of my home if we seperate?

ANSWER:

Generally, NO. Unless there is more to the story than what you state in your question, the mere fact that you let another person live with you in your home (without you and the other person being married to one another) does not give the other person any basis for claiming any legal interest in your home.
