property settlement in divorce

if one spouse has a job funded retirement does the other spouse have right to half of it

Retirement funds earned during the marriage are usually divided between both parties. If some of the funds were earned before the marriage or during a long separation, it may not be exactly the same. This is taken into account as a balancing of other assets divided, so I can't say it will be divided exactly equally. If there are no other assets to divide it is lively to be split equally between you.
