Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon

She sold our car

In December, before she told me she wanted a divorce, she sold our commonly owned car and bought another one without consulting me or getting my agreement.

It seems to me that she had no right to sell the car, of which I owned half, or to buy a car in her name (my name is not on the title) for which I am paying at least half.

If we get a divorce, what are my rights?

If we reconcile, what are my rights?

Re: She sold our car

All assets purchased during the marriage are marital assets subject to division in a divorce. All debts incurrend during the marriage are marital debts subject to division in a divorce. If you reconcile you do not have any rights against your wife for the purchase of the car. If you need further advice/assistance please contact my office.
