Legal Question in Family Law in Oregon

Spousal support

My husband countered my divorce proposal with wanting spousal support. He can work, but has not in a while because of being 50%. He collects disability from the government. We had been married less than 10 years.

Will I have to pay him spousal support?

A trial date is set.

Do I need to submit paperwork for fighting this?

Re: Spousal support

The issue of spousal support is very fact specific. You will have to file a Uniform Support Affidavit with the court. Further, you should be sure to obtain discovery from your husband regarding his financial position and future. This can be a complex legal issue and it would be a good idea for you to be represented by an attorney.
