Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Oregon

Can a college be sued for letting its students out of class early? We are paying for time and an education we are not getting. One of my class times is almost cut in half due to the instructor letting us go early.

NO, the college cannot be sued for letting its student out of class early. Keep in mind that attending college is something that adults do on a voluntary basis. The college cannot force s student to stay in class is the student wants to leave. Or even not attend at all. And if you believe that the college for which you are paying is not providing the education you anticipated would be provided, your recouse is to have your child go to a different college. You might ask the college for a refund of tuittion, but there is no legal basis for a lawsuit.
