Re: Vindictive Employers
Your employer has the right to appeal to the EAB. You will have the right to submit written argument in response, and you should do so, either yourself or through an attorney.
The more problematic of you present situation appears to be that your former employer is making false statements about you and your work. This may be defamation. If you have proof that she is in fact making false statements concerning your work, an attorney can write a demand letter threatening her with litigation of she does not stop the false statments immediately. Good Luck.
The above does not constitute legal opinion and is offered for the
purposes of discussion only. The law differs in every jurisdiction, and
you should not rely on any opinion except that of an attorney you have
retained, who has a professional duty to advise you after being fully
informed of all the pertinent facts and who is familiar with the
applicable law.
