Vindictive Employers

I recently won my unempoyment hearing, my ex employer has applied for an appeals board review, and is also giving me a bad reference for employment, she's determined to sabatoge my efforts, only because I quit do to her vindictive, spitefull and moody personality towards her employees. I was a great asset to her bussiness all employee's and customers agree, I talked to her 6mths prior to my quitting about her attitude. All I want is to get a good job to support my two children, is there anything legal that I can put in writting to her to convince her to do the right thing by me, she has amitted to the appealant judge that I was a good worker.

Your employer has the right to appeal to the EAB. You will have the right to submit written argument in response, and you should do so, either yourself or through an attorney.

The more problematic of you present situation appears to be that your former employer is making false statements about you and your work. This may be defamation. If you have proof that she is in fact making false statements concerning your work, an attorney can write a demand letter threatening her with litigation of she does not stop the false statments immediately.
