Legal Question in Immigration Law in Oregon
Changing status
Hi,
I'm holder of a R1 visa. I worked as a volunteer in Houston TX, and recently moved to Oregon.
I'd like to know if and how i could change my status from R1 to Permanent residence or any other possible.

Re: Changing status
You may file as a special immigrant religious worker if you meet certain requirements. Those requirements include being a member of your religion in the past two years, going to work as a minister or other professional capacity in a religious occupation, etc.
The requirements and process are complicated so please email me for further clarification.
