E Visa/intestors visa

hi...i am living in canada and wanted to purchase a franchise in the USA..and i would need a little bit of funding...now i was told by an immigration lawyer that an E visa would be the best so i can work and live in the USA legally...yet someone else told me it would be an investors visa...and it would take up to 2 yrs to get a green card...but this E visa you can work and live in the USA as long as you run the business and you are the manager or someone high in the company which i would be of course

E investment visa is a temporary visa. It is valid for 2 years a time which means you have to renew the visa every 2 years provided your business is running well.

There is another kind of investment visa which is for green card application. It has stricter requirements about the amount and manner of the investment. You have to invest $500,000 or $1 million depending on the type of investment. The process and time taking to obtain this type of green card is more complicated than E visa.
