Legal Question in Immigration Law in Oregon
Hello, I'm Wayne a US citizen married to a Filipino citizen, my wife have a daughter out of wedlock. She is using her biological fathers surname as he signed her birth certificate. We filed for Abandonment, and is in process right now in the Philippines. My question is this, it possible for me to adopt my step-daughter even though my wife is not a US citizen? My wife is fully in favor of this. We've been together 6 yrs. And we're planning to reside in the Philippines 8 to 10months a year. Thank you very much, we look forward to your reply.
