Legal Question in Employment Law in Oregon
auto insurance
Is it legal for an employer to demand a copy of your personal auto insurance policy on your own personal vehicle? I do field service calls for a major copier/printer company with MY vehicle. They pay $0.32 a mile for me to use my vehicle for service calls.

Re: auto insurance
An employer may be liable for injuries caused by an employee using his or her automobile on company business. As such, it is permissible for the employer to demand proof of insurance.
