Legal Question in Employment Law in Oregon

Fired to use as an Example to other employees.

Can an employer fire you with out a giving warnings and stating that they are use you as an example to other employees. Can the employment department reject benifits because you were suspended for 3 days then terminated for stating your opininion.

The answer in Oregon is dependant on whether you are an at- will employee or whether you have an emploment contract.
