Re: Lsbor/overtime

Overtime compensation laws can be complicated. Its not always as simple as looking at the total number of hours. Employers may implement different wage structures (such as "fluctuating work week") under certain circumstances, which can reduce overtime entitlement. You need to present your time records and paycheck stubs to a qualified employment lawyer for review. If you are entitled to additional overtime compensation, the law provides the employer must pay an additional amount as attorneys fees and in some cases pay twice what the employer has wilfully failed to pay.

This is not specific legal advice, but a general comment on your inquiry. For legal advice about a specific question, you must establish an attorney client relationship with a lawyer and provide all the relevant facts and circumstances. Please also be aware that you have only a limited time in which to commence an action to enforce your rights. If you intend to pursue a potential claim, consult a qualified employment lawyer without delay and establish an attorney client relationship. This exchange is not such a relationship, and this firm will do nothing to protect your interests.
