Legal Question in Military Law in Oregon

Entry Level Separation and Law School

In 2002, I made a rash decision to join the Army, quickly realized that I didn't particularly like it, and got out with an uncharacterized Entry Level Separation.

Currently, I am applying to law schools and am disclosing the aforementioned information when prompted to do so by the application. I have two quick questions:

1) I assume that most law schools will look negatively upon this episode. What impact will it have on their ultimate decision? My GPA and LSAT scores are pretty good; is the ELS problem likely to outweigh these factors and result in a denial of admission?

2) Will I have any problems getting through the Bar's character evaluation process?

Thank you for your help.
