Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon
I was arrested for disorderly conducted because someone called and lied that I had a knife. Before I was arrested I was kneed, punched and thrown to the ground, I did not physically attack anyone. I now have a broken hand and some medical expenses. Can I still sue those that attacked me? Everyone at the party was intoxicated.

Were the attacked by the party goers or by the police? If by the police, call attorney Greg Kafoury at 224-2647. If by the party goers, it will be your word against theirs, most likely. Do you have several witnesses to support your position? Then, yes, you can sue those who attacked you, but it will cost several thousand dollars to do so, and you may not win.
