Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon

I have a basketball hoop ( the large ones that hangs over onto the street) outside on the curb in front of my house and sometimes the neighborhood kids come and play. If someone were to get hurt or hit by a car while playing at my hoop would I be responsible?

Yes. It is known as an "attractive nuisance." If it attracts hoopsters who are so distracted they don't look out for traffic, indeed you could be successfully sued for damages. If the player is killed or seriously injured, your liability could be in the millions of dollars.
