Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon
Blinded with no clue of settlement figure
I was a passenger in an MVA.I am now blind in my right eye ,and a blind spot in the left. I'm right handed and can no longer hunt, play sports and am worried my perception will make me a danger at my work. The insurance wants to settle. What is a appropiate settlement figure amount? The driver had full coverage insurance.

The injuries you've received are so serious that you should not even think of trying to handle this on your own. Yes, a lawyer will take fees, but you will have some PROTECTION that way. The insurance companies do NOT represent you, and they do NOT have your best interests in mind, no matter how pleasant they may try to be to you.
I have seen MANY CASES where important legal issues were overlooked, since besides not being on your side, the adjuster is generally not a lawyer. There may be other benefits and money to which you'd be entitled, and which you can LOSE ALTOGETHER if you settle the claim with one insurance company only.
In other words, there are often other kinds of insurance coverage (such as underinsured coverage from a variety of possible sources) which COULD be available to you, and which you could NOT GET if you settle with this adjuster.
Most of all, the adjuster knows that you DON'T know the fair value of this claim, and they know YOU DON'T know how or when to settle. You're a lamb in the lair of the lion. Please talk to a good lawyer who specializes in personal injury law, not just any lawyer who happens to handle some injury claims. Call on the phone or talk in person, and get some help. Make sure you don't mess up your future by trying to handle this on your own. If I may be of assistance, of course, feel free to call me as well.
Oh, and to answer your question: From what you've told me, even I don't know the value of your claim! I'd need to ask many, many questions and review many documents to come close to trying to evaluate this claim for you.
Best of luck to you, please make those phone calls, and I hope your recovery leaves you with as much function and happiness as is possible under the circumstances.
Sincerely,
Sam Hochberg

I 100% agree with Sam. You need an attorney experienced in personal injury litigation.
