Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon

I was in a car accident 3 years ago. I settled my lawsuit 4 months ago and all outstanding bills regarding my healthcare were paid by my lawyer. Now the office manager for one of the doctors said she didn't receive payment. She represents 2 doctors. One was paid, the other wasn't. I asked for her to submit proof to me that she gave all of the information to my lawyer when he requested it. She will not produce any evidence that she gave him the information that there were any bills outstanding. Now she insists that I pay the money. What should I do?

Contact your lawyer and inform him of the situation. It was his responsibility to get the bills paid.

The lawyer who settled your case should have a "disbursement ledger," or some document like that, indicating who was paid.
