Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon
Restaurant Responsibility Toward Consumer
last night at dinner in a very famous pub, my son bit into a sandwich and discovered a large chunk of clear glass. The size was of a proportion that probably would have killed him had he swallowed it, and upon discussing this with the server, she offered to 'remove the sandwich' from our bill. what responsibility does the restaurant have toward us and what kind of recourse do we have? he is a four year old little boy and possibly it sounds dumb, as no one was hurt, but we are terribly haunted by this and were completely unable to sleep last night. it was a fluke that he didn't swallow that bite. where do we go from here?

You may well have a tort claim against the pub. I am not a tort lawyer and would recommend that you contact one, such as Linda Williams at 293-0399.
