Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon

Settling Injury Accident Claim with Insurance Company

I was injured in an accident almost one year ago. When is it time to consult an attorney. Because of the injury, we have become behind in bills, our auto insurance increased, etc. There has been problems from day one getting the insurance to pay the medical bills in a timely manner.

Re: Settling Injury Accident Claim with Insurance Company

You need to contact an attorney immediately. The cut-off date for a personal injury lawsuit is two years from date of injury.

But your question implies that you have been taking money from the insurance company. This could cause you serious problems in bringing a lawsuit, because you may have already "settled" your claims without knowing it.

I do not handle personal injury claims. I saw a trial the other day where the Kafoury McDougal law firm won $1 million for a blind man who fell down an open manhole. Their number is 503-224-2647.
