Our inspector missed a number of things when inspecting our home. Do I have any recourse?

Look at your contract with the inspector. It probably absolves the inspector of liability for things missed. If not, and if a reasonably competent inspector would have noticed the bad things, you may have a cause of action (lawsuit) against him for the cost of fixing the things that he missed. But the contract almost certainly contains a "no liability" clause.
