If I am leasing an apartment and I want the other leassor to leave, can I put their crap outside in the rain or do I have to keep it and if so for how long?

You absolutely cannot put the co-lessor's property out in the rain and change the locks.

If you want the co-lessor to leave, you are going to have to properly evict him or her. If you and they actually have a lease, then you have no right to remove your co-lessor unless he/she has somehow broken the lease (for example by not paying rent).

You really need to contact an attorney for assistance in this matter because if you handle things improperly, you could be liable to the co-lessor for significant damages and attorney fees.
