Re: Legal Owner of Automobile sued for lost of home

Your question is not exactly clear, but if you are asking whether the owner of an automobile can be sued when a driver, not related to the owner, gets into an accident, the answer is Yes.

If this has happened to you, you need to immediately contact your automobile insurance company and give them a copy of the lawsuit. Your auto insurance should cover you, even if the driver was not named on the insurance.

If you do not have insurance, you need to hire your own attorney immediately. There are deadlines that occur with lawsuits and you need to have an attorney assist you with them.
