personal representative
A power of attorney is a written instrument authorizing another to act as one's agent or attorney. It may be specific in that it only authorizes specific acts or general, authorizing most financial transactions. A power of attorney may be durable, in that it is not revoked by one's mental incapacity. It is revoked by one's death.A personal representative is usually appointed by a probate court as the representative of a decedent's (dead person's)estate. Usually one nominates someone to be their personal representative in their will.
