Purchasing parents home - what do I do

My husband and I want to purchse his parents home from them before they go into assisted living. No real estate agent. How do I figure out the legal paper work that needs to be completed?

Re: Purchasing parents home - what do I do

The short answer is to see an attorney. There are a variety of ways that this transaction can be accomplished. For example, are you going to get a new loan from the bank, or are you going to make monthly payments to the parents, giving them an income. Each type of transaction requires different paperwork.

We offer a low cost initial consultation to help give you information about the various options.
