Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Oregon

Who is responsible for verifying the MLS information? We recently bought a house and the wrong schools were listed on the mls and our realtor did not verify them.

You may have a valid claim (lawsuit) for misrepresentation against the realtor, particularly if you told the realtor you wanted specific schools, the information provided by the realtor showed those schools, and now you cannot get into those schools. The problem would be proving the amount of your "damages" or how much you were harmed. What is it worth to have a kid go to School A instead of School B? That would be hard to prove. Perhaps you could get a real estate appraiser to testify that access to School A makes a house worth $xxx more than otherwise. You could testify, "it's worth $xxx to me," but a jury would not necessarily believe you.
