Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Oregon

Timeshare release

How can I be released from all

Timeshare monetary obligations

without any legal implications? I own

a week in Hawaii and a week in

Florida. I would like my name taken

off of the deeds. No one wants to buy

them and I don't want to pay

someone to do this.

Re: Timeshare release

You cannot do so.

If you can find someone to "buy" the timeshares,or even accept them as a gift and agree to make the payments, then you might be able to transfer them to that new person.

Your ability to get someone to take them will depend on the timeshare and how desirable it is. If the weeks are not good, or the property is not the best, it will be difficult or impossible to convince someone to take them over.

Without finding someone who wants to take them on, you are stuck with them and the corresponding financial obligation.
