Legal Question in Traffic Law in Oregon
Suspended driver's license
I was recently pulled over. I presented the officer with a valid california driver's license. He then came back to me and said that my driver's license in Oregon was suspended in 1999 and he was going to impound my vehicle. My wife got the vehicle out if impound the next day and it had been damaged by the towing company. Was the seizure of my vehicle legal? If not do I have any legal recourse against the towing company and/or the police department?
