was rearended in an intersection. Other person's fault but I have no valid license.

Under most circumstances, whether you had a valid license or not should NOT affect your rights in this situation, as to claims for damages against the other driver and his or her insurance. Without a full interview on all the facts, however, it's impossible to give you an answer with certainty.
