Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oregon

Dis-Inheritance

I am writing for a friend. She was very close to her adopted father, but not to the mother. Now that her father has died, and her mother got everything, can the mother now disinherit her. I understood at one time you could not disinherit an adopted child? or is that passe? thank you very much.
