Hello..My mother gave me some familt photos/slodes before she died. Now my brother that is the trustee of the estate is demanding I return them stating that her will provides that upon her death all tangible articles of a personal nature be distributed ewually anongst my siblings. Being I recived them before her death, am I required to return them?

Re: family trusts

Your late mother's trust or will can only distribute the property she owned upon her death. If your mother gave the items to you before her death (and did not give them to you for safekeeping with the intention that they be distributed to your siblings after her death), then you are entitled to keep them and her trustee/personal representative cannot require that you return them to the estate.
