Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oregon

How do I find out about my deceased fathers trust?

My Dad died in Oregon and has a living Trust. His wife (my stepmother)says she's the sole beneficiary of everything and my sister and I won't inherit anything from our Dad till SHE dies. That is completely contrary to everything Dad has always told the two of us. He has always been specific to each of us about what our inheritance would be. How do we find out what the truth is if she's not willing to cooperate? She also says Dad left a ''hand written letter'' to my sister stating how he wanted certain things (?) distributed. As of right now we haven't seen anything. What should we do?

The best way is to try and convince her to give you a copy of the trust. Mediation might help. Otherwise, someone would need to open a probate proceeding there and try to subpoena a copy.
