Re: Personal Represenative

Oregon allows compensation for a personal representative on a sliding scale as follows:

On the estate property subject to jurisdiction of the probate court:

Seven percent of any sum not exceeding $1,000; plus

Four percent of all above $1,000 and not exceeding $10,000; plus

Three percent of all above $10,000 and not exceeding $50,000; plus

Two percent of all above $50,000.

On property not subject to probate court jurisdiction, but reportable for Oregon or Federal inheritance taxes (but not including life insurance):

One percent of the total amount.

If the estate requires extraordinary and unusual actions on the part of the personal representative, the court can award additional compensation, if the court is convinced that the statutory compensation is insufficient.
