probate

my mother is dying and she doesnt have a will I have 2 twin sisters who are handi capped and they live with my mother in our house my mom built she has always said that if anything should happen to her that the house belongs to the twins. Im afraid now that she dosen't have a will the state may get our house how can we save our home.? I feel that it is hard enough on them knowing mom is dying without having to move them to another house.

Your mother needs a will NOW. There are attorneys who will come to her house, or even the hospital, if she is unable to come to them. I just did a will for a dying client who was in the hospital, I went to him to do the will.

If your sisters are permanently disabled, then there are ways to allow them to keep the house without the state's claim for whatever it has paid for your mother's care.
