Discuss Prospective and Retrospective Act in Interpretation of Statutes?

Prospective Interpretation means that the law will be effective from the date of enforcement to onward and the example is that One law has been enforced today that taking bribe is punishable so the effective will be from today and onward.
But Retrospective Interpretation is that the law has been enacted today but enforcement has been made from the previous date for example NAB Act was enacted in 2001 but its enforcement made from 1985 to onward.
