Legal Question in Banking Law in Pakistan
I gave a cheque to a person for a liability of RS.547000/- for a date.
Afterwards. I gave 547000/ in cash to the said person against the said cheque before the due date.
The person did not return me the said cheque saying the cheque had been lost
He advertised this in leading newspaper. lodged NC in Police station and also gave his statement about the fact on stamp paper reqistered by oath commissione / notry public.
I still suspect that he will try to blackmail and cheat with the cheque as I suspect the cheque is still with him

Enough material had been provided by the accused for the evidence to prove your case. In my opinion , with these documents file a civil suit against that person, obtain a stay order on the use of Cheque, it can also be cancelled through court.
