Legal Question in Banking Law in Pakistan
Can I get stay order from the court on my post dated cheques which are issued to various clients for business purposes?
1 Answer from Attorneys
You can try to get that with providing the reasons but most probably you will not succeed in this. You can not stop someone from presenting a cheque in the bank if he has that. If you have paid that person seperately then the best way is to order your bank to stop payment for those checks and send an application to SSP office along with proofs that you have made payment and ordered your bank to stop payment. So in case if the person holding those cheques approaches the Police Station, they must not Lodge FIR. If the SSP marks the application then take it to thana and SHO will receive directions and there will be NO FIR against you after wards. For more consult me free at [email protected]
