In terms of legal Disability:

incompetence to do any legal act ,it is of two classes ABSOLUTE - while it continues, wholly disables the person, such as cutlawry, excommunication, attainder.

PARTIAL- lunacy and drunkeness, insanity or idiocy,this cause legal disability. time does not run against it so long as this disability continues.

Partial ot total disability may also be construed in terms of cases of accidents/ suits for damages / industrial labour and workman compensations cases scenaio.in that case individual case has to be studied.
