Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pakistan
Sir, I want to know that a person has borrowed Rs. 800,000/- from me earlier and given me a cheque of same amount dated 30-11-2010. Cheque is presented in MCB, Islamabad which is bounced now and definatelly i will lodge FIR against him. Some one told me I should complain in Peshawar area where he is maintaing bank account in UBL and his bank has return the cheque with reason given un sufficient balance. You plz tell me where i should complain and lodge FIR either in Islamabad or Peshawar in context of pakistan law pertaing to dishonour of cheque.

in such matter , F I R will be lodged in the police station in whose jurisdiction bank was situated where cheque was presented and subsequently dishonoured.
