Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pakistan
A person gave me cheque of 98000 title SELF i deposited this cheque in my account and it bounced now Can i launch a police case against him

Yes, dishonoring of a cheaque is a penal offence under Pakistan penal code sec. 489-f. with a dishonor slip (issued by bank) and the cheque(Bounced), you should go to the police station to lodge the F.I.R under 489-f of PPC. In the court you will have to prove that the cheque was issued for any finencial liability and is dihonored, this is enough evidence to convict him. he will not even entitled for bail untill pay your money back.

question arises, whether u signed the cheque while deposited in bank,,, if u did,, then u should go to the police station with explanation that why a "self" cheque is deposited,,,, secondly take an action quickly before the cheque issuing aothority go for theft or stolen report...
