Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pakistan
Question regarding 489F Pakistan Penal Code. A sect of lawyers said that the law of dishonored cheque was added by a Presidential order in P.P.C, if a Presidential order isn't ratified by the assembly in 120 days it is deemed to be automatically dissolved. Same in this case of 489F which wasn't been ratified by the assembly. Shouldn't it also be considered as null and void? Guide me please.

489-F has been incorporated in the criminal code with all its scope and meaning.
Salam,
Yes it was inducted because of the presidential order and all the ordinances are also subjected to be revoked if the national assembly revokes it within 120 days. If the assembly do not revoke it for 120 days then it becomes the law. It never itself gets revoked. Silence becomes acceptance. Hope answer is cleared.
