First of All you must understand what are the basic concepts of Talaq. There are three in Sunni Schools of Thought. which you can study in detail here

It'll help you alot to understand basic knowledge of Talaq. Our Law is based on Islamic Law, so there is not a big difference.

Now as per your question If you receive One Talaq and a period of 3 months gets expired then you are free from your husband and you are at choice to marry someone else. But if your husband wants to rejoin you before 3 months after giving one talaq he has this right but with your permission. And if 3 months period gets expired after one talaq notice he can rejoin you after a new Nikah.

As far as other part of your question is concerned you have option to go to court of law for recovery of your maintenance and maintenance of your child as well as you can file a suit for recovery of your dower and dowery articles.
