what are the ages of children left by your father?

if the children are minors they can demand maintenance from their grandfather in Family Courts.

if your concern is regarding property only then you to wait for the death of your grandfather or it is the discretion of the grandfather, who can transfer the share of his son to u in his life as per Islamic inheritance law.

First thing to remember is, succession of a Muslim does not inherit to a non-Muslim. Secondly According to Muslim succession law, a son of predeceased son can not get any share from the property (This is divine law). However the national law permits it through an amendment in local law. Do consult to any civil lawyer for initiation of litigation.
