plz tell me what are the advatages or disadvatges(implications) if a girl applies for khula?will i get my dowry back (in case of khula)?

in fact a Muslim girl has to think lot wider than this that what benefits are involved in case of divorce or disadvantages to khula, any way the girl has to forego the benefits received by the husband and or dower.
