Legal Question in Family Law in Pakistan
Salam,I am living in usa. had a nikah over the phone and webcam had everthing recorded on the webcam from both sides same time. on the same screen. now do to some stupidity , he said that you said that, family usual stuff in pak,before marriage i had a request that i would only marry the girl if she continues to study and go to college other wise i wont marry, but then she refused to study.now they wanna end the marriage and I dont. coz she is my wife now no matter what Nikka is not a joke , nor expeirment.shes my wife now what ever or what ever she is.the point is if her family, wants a divorce and i wont give and they file for Khula. what rights do I have. to stop them from doing it. they have no right grounds to do so. we have been talking on the phone its been least 8 months. and have build a good releationship .so plz tell me what can i do to put things in there senses the hard way coz easy way is not going to them. just over study. it went this far.plz. thank U

it is a fact that she is your wife and if she doest want to end her marriage than no one can force her to do that and if her family forces her to seek khuls than it wont happen in one week or in one month you will have plenty of time to reach to a solution. But it is important what she wants and if she is willing to take your side than you can adopt legal recourse to help her come to you.
