Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pakistan
I gave some money to a contractor for completion of his underprocess construction works. He gave me a cheque of same amount dully signed by him and also a written proof stating that i am giving this check and this amount can be withdrawal when i will get the payment from client. The contractor has recived that payment from client and i have a proof about his payment release. When i presented the cheaque in bank i was told that this cheque is blocked by issuer and we can,t release the payment at this cheque. No i have two proofs 1, cheque that was given to me 2, the written and signed statment of that person on his company paid in which he accepted that he is giveing this cheque to me .
What actions i should and can take against that person? And what is the success rate of this appeal???
Regards,

Law about cheque are very strict in Pakistan .First of all a criminal case (FIR)must be registered against him in police station from where cheque was dishonored under sec 489-FPPC. It ill be very fast process for your recovery in my opinion .
