what is a search certificate, how to obtain & what is the fee?

Search certificate issued by the Registrar of proeprty in hose jurisidicion the property is situated.It reflects the description of property and the name of the owner and normally obtain at the time of sale and purchase of property or either by the bank prior to creation of mortgage. The cost is not much all you have to do is to write an application and pay the requisite fees which is not more than Rs. 500 in any case.
