Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
My dad was just arrested and charged with molesting and attempting to penetrate a 15 year old minor 8 times. He is a disabled veteran recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. I spoke to himon the phone and he sounded very stressed because other inmates are threatening to rape him. Is there any way I can get protection for him in prison?? I know he deserves punishment, but is there any way to have him segregated for protection from inmates? Thank you for any suggestion.

First and foremost, be careful about asking your father details of the charges and/or his involvement if he is in prison. All calls originating from prison are recorded. Thus your father's words as well as your own may be used against your father in court.
As for your father's protection, he has to ask the prison management for protection, he has to allege that he is in fear for his safety before he will be put in protective custody.
